Here is what some of the best golfers in the world had to say, heading into The 151st Open Championship.
RORY MCILROY: I think regardless of whether I won [the Scottish Open] or not, I would have come in here confident with the way I've played over the last sort of month and a half. My game feels like it's in good shape, but I think seeing the way I played last week and being able to control my ball in pretty difficult conditions, and I feel good about that coming into this week. BROOKS KOEPKA: I feel like I'm playing just as good [as when I won the US PGA]. Still feel pretty disciplined, focused. Game is there. I've been practising quite a bit. We'll see how the week goes. It's a major, so I probably should be up for it. SCOTTIE SCHEFFLER: I don't try to overthink things. I try to keep things as simple as possible, and right now that recipe has been working quite well. Just trying to do more of it, just trying to hit it a little bit better, chip a little bit better and putt a little bit better, and hopefully the results are continue to improve. JON RAHM: "It's all about competition. So if you can create an environment where you're competing against yourself and put yourself in somewhat of a position of being able to feel the same things, at the end of the day it's reputation. Pressure is pressure, higher or lower. If you can act the same every single time and have the same routine and perform, you might be able to do it when it really counts on the golf course."
