Miguel was just trying to help.
Keegan Bradley was on the cusp of losing his third and final WGC Cadillac Championship matchplay contest when he blew his lid.
A stray drive on the 18th had veered well off track and left him struggling to scramble for par in a match he was already 1 Down in. As he was close to a fence, Bradley requested a ruling on getting a free drop.
Jimenez chirped up with some advice and Bradley did not take kindly to it at all.
After the Spaniard waved away the gesticulations of Bradley’s caddie, Steve ‘Pepsi’ Hale, the American explod, ‘Don’t you ever tell him to shut up. Don’t you ever tell him to shut up.’
A two-minute debate ensued before Bradley eventually played his shot, lost the hole and the match.
Jimenez later commented, ‘Whatever happened there is finished. It’s okay now. It’s fine. I don’t want to talk anything about (the ruling). The round is finished and everything is done. This is over now. There’s no point in saying anything.’
Bradley still had something to say. ‘I felt like he was being disrespectful not only to me but my caddie. I was kind of standing up for my boy here,’ he said.
‘It was just a heat-of-the-moment thing. It was disappointing. I’m pretty bummed out about it.’
