Food poisoning sucks, food poisoning that could potentially cost you north of €1million really sucks.
Rory McIlroy’s season was derailed by an ankle injury playing football with his mates but things were getting back on track before a dodgy dining decision in Shanghai.

The World No3’s participation in this week’s HSBC Champions event would appear to be in serious doubt after he was floored by a club sandwich a couple of day ago.
The prognosis is not much better this morning, with the four-time Major winner heading back to his hotel room after unsuccessfully trying to swing a club.
“I’m not feeling great to be honest,” he said. “I had something (to eat) a couple of nights ago and yesterday wasn’t good at all.
“I thought I would be better this morning… and I came here and tried to hit some balls, but even just making a couple of swings my stomach was too sore. So I just need another day of rest and hopefully I will be better tomorrow and I can play.”
Currently leading Danny Willett and Shane Lowry in the Race to Dubai standings, McIlroy is due to tee off alongside Rickie Fowler and Dustin Johnson at 10.45am tomorrow morning.
If he can’t make the first tee he will forfeit any claim on the €1.3million first prize, but in his weakened condition he will do well to compete against a world class field regardless.
Either way it looks like Shanghai will rocket up the club sandwich index after McIlroy’s gastrointestinal travails.
