Well that’s one way of explaining it.
Ian Poulter, Henrik Stenson and Sergio Garcia will all miss next month’s BMW PGA Championship at Wentworth, and Poulter’s absence in particular is causing quite a stir.
The Englishman received some heavy criticism for skipping the event, and sniped back the only way he knows how, by tweeting.
Poulter explained that it made no sense for him to play in the event, citing his woeful record at Wentworth.
I've played 13 PGA's at Wentworth and had 1 Top 10. I've had 8 MC. Would Usain Bolt compete in a marathon. I didn't think so…. Enough said

Simple terms. I've won 19.11 world ranking points from poss 832 over 13 years. & for tied 3rd at Open in 2012 I won 28.50 Points.
