Video: Referee interrupts Dublin junior football game to kick wonderful point

This could be the viral GAA hit of the summer.

Referees are meant to be impartial, but one man in the middle decided he needed to show what we can only assume are some Dublin junior footballers how it’s done in a game this week.

We think one of the sides could be Whitehall, and we’re unsure as to their opponents, but the standard is definitely not senior.

After a Whitehall attack is thwarted the referee decides that he will take matters into his owns hands and slots over a point from 30 metres out at is ease.

Note the lovely pick-up as well before he blasts it over the bar

Nobody protests too much and the supporters on the sideline see the funny side of things.
