We’ve all tried it.
Hanging around the pitch until the dead of night taking on ridiculous challenges and the coach is screaming from the club house that he’s going to lock up if you don’t hurry the f**k up.
You try scoring from the sideline, you try punt-passing it over from ridiculous angles, cross-bar challenge and all the rest of the nonsense that you’ll never use in a game. But it’s still practice, right?
Kevin Reilly Tighe is going places. He has a lot more talent than anyone in this office and you only need to look at one beautifully effortless swing of his right leg to spot that he’s a natural.
But you have to get up very early in the morning to catch us out because analysing angles to posts is the only decent thing some of us do. After extensive research, five arguments and seven different experiments, SportsJOE can confirm that the Cavan teenager’s post-training effort was not from the end line.
It was, however, absolutely spectacular.
No lights, no big wind, and no real angle apart from the couple of yards that he might’ve offered himself, Reilly Tighe curls over the most special of outside of boot efforts to leave us drooling.
The Drumalee club man is a talent alright and it’s definitely the best post-training trick shot we’ve seen.
