All that fuss over nothing.
One of the big GAA stories that did the rounds on Tuesday was the alleged targeting of Rory Gallagher’s father Gerry by Donegal fans last Saturday.
The story took off because of Donegal legend Brian McEniff’s conversation with Tom Comack in the Donegal Democrat.
McEniff criticised the alleged abuse Gerry received from Donegal fans after the Round 4 defeat to Galway. The former Donegal boss admitted that he did not see the incident, but he claimed he was made aware of it. He went on to condemn the behaviour, labelling it as ‘totally unacceptable.’
However, what McEniff was told appears to have been fabricated. Gerry Gallagher revealed on Twitter that he has never been the victim of any verbal abuse from Donegal fans.
Hi Eamon,I wish to state categorically that I have never been victim of any verbal abuse from Donegal fans.

That’s the end of that so.
