What more do we need to say?
Paddy Small caught our attention a couple of weeks ago when he tore it up in Parnell Park.
Small, brother of Dublin defender John, scored a not so shabby 1-6 against St.Bridgid’s in the quarter-final of the Dublin Senior Football Championship and was man of the match in a game that featured just a couple of inter-county players.
- Evan Comerford
- Dean Rock
- James McCarthy
- John Small
- Philly McMahon
- Paddy Andrews
You’re not doing badly if you’re the star performer out of that lot and the scores were very impressive.
Well, Small was at it again today as Ballymun Kickhams reached a Dublin Senior Final after an impressive 2-15 to 1-10 win over Kilmacud Crokes and Small was equally as impressive again.
The Dublin Under-21 scored five points in their eight-point win as both him and Dean Rock impressed.
His teammate netted a cool 1-6 also and people took notice of Small yet again.
This Paddy Small looks different gravy!

His teammate and 2017 Player of the Year nominee James McCarthy has been equally as impressed when he told SportsJOE earlier in the week that he expects big things from Small:
“There’s only one Small now is what we keep saying up at the club slagging John.
“Look, Paddy has all the attributes, I know by him he’s really committed and he’d love to get down (to the Dublin seniors) and I definitely think he’s not far off he’s a brilliant player.”
Whether Jim Gavin will call him up or not remains to be seen but Small has done as much as he could this year and has certainly put his name in the hat.
