Eamonn Fitzmaurice is facing his fourth relegation battle as Kerry manager.
Kerry simply had no answer to a Roscommon side who were too strong, too smart, too clever, and too accurate for the Kingdom in their home patch by 0-14 to 1-10 in today’s Allianz Football league clash in a rain soaked Killarney.

It’s the first win for the Rossies over the Kingdom since 2001, and it’s another worrying start to life in Allianz Football League Division one for the 2014 All-Ireland champions, as it is the third time in four years Kerry have lost their first two league games.
Congrats to Roscommon. Won me some good money at 7/2. No better time to play Kerry then the first two games

The celebrations at the full-time whistle showed what it meant to everyone wearing yellow.

Kerry could have no complaints as the Connacht outfit were full value for a win.
You rarely see celebrations like that after a league game in February. Fair play to Roscommon, massive result. Kerry need to get bodies back

And even MEPs were delighted with the result.

.@eoineenc yes indeed. 'Cregg will tear us apart' comes to mind.

And some fans were getting very very excited

The action on the pitch may not have been great, but by far the highlight of the day was not Stephen O’Brien waltzing at least 12 steps to plant the ball into the net.
Ah just about the odd dozen steps there for Stephen O'Brien's goal for Kerry. Kingdom lead 1-6 to 0-8 at HT pic.twitter.com/O6Tl5hminU

Instead it was this TG4 co-commentator struggling to hang onto his umbrella in the wind and rain of Fitzgerald stadium.

Elsewhere today in Division one, Donegal gave Cork a massive trimming beating the Rebels by 2-14 to 1-7.

In Division two this monster score from the boot of Sean Quigley was the highlight of their win over Meath by 0-10 to 0-6.
