Alright, they’ll only miss 15 minutes of the Ireland match.
If they don’t record either show that’s clashing…
TG4 are airing another Laochra Gael on Monday evening at 7.30pm and the subject is one of Derry’s finest sons.
Anthony Tohill and all his brute force, his both-feet skill, his hands and his leadership will be broadcast across the country for the whole nation to enjoy in another timeless instalment of one of the most enjoyable GAA shows on TV.
The Swatragh Skyscraper will take over screens like he did football pitches for 30 minutes as viewers travel back to 1993 with him when Derry beat the All-Ireland champions Donegal in the Ulster final – a feat that would eventually propel them onwards to their one and only Sam Maguire success to date.

Derry won a real dogged game that horrible day in Clones, 0-8 to 0-6, and Tohill was leading the charge, he was splitting the posts, he was the tireless engine room and he was the immovable anchor at the back for his county.
He was everywhere like he was throughout his entire illustrious Derry career and, on Monday, TG4 will celebrate that colossal performance from one of the greatest to ever grace the game.
“There was a lot of talk about the conditions and the conditions favouring us but I don’t think the conditions mattered a damn that day,” Tohill said.
“Irrespective of where that game was, we were going to win it and that’s the way we viewed it.”
Laochra Gael throws-in at 7.30pm on Monday evening on TG4 whilst the Irish soccer game in Wales kicks off at 7.45pm.
They’re both obviously worth a watch but there might well be a spike in RTE ratings from the north coast at 8 o’clock.
Whenever they watch it though, this promises to be a clinker.
