The Wexford hurling revival is in full swing.
The Yellow Bellies had the county’s loyal, but long-suffering hurling followers enchanted with their highly impressive National Hurling League campaign.
The Model County was gripped with hurling fever as Davy Fitzgerald’s passion and excitement on the sideline brought the magic back to the banks of the Slaney.
The hype is now reaching uncharted territory for their long-anticipated Leinster semi-final clash with Kilkenny on 10 June, which would have been earmarked by all Wexford hurling folk since the draw was made earlier in the year.
The 25,000 capacity of Wexford Park is expected to sell out for the occasion, with one seat taken by Davy Fitzgerald, who will be located in the stands after his indiscretions in their League semi-final with Tipperary.
The tickets went on sale on Wednesday morning at 9:00, and as expected, they’re like hot buns down in the south-east.

One high-profile figure spotted in the long queue was Martin Storey, their 1996 All-Ireland winning captain, who still had quite a bit to go for his tickets, as he is seen here at the Corish Park housing estate more than 200 metres from the town grounds.

Fitzgerald’s men delivered on the early season hype, with three significant scalps claimed in Galway, Limerick and a phenomenal defeat of neighbours Kilkenny at Nowlan Park for their first time since 1957 during their League campaign.
They’ve backed up their League heroics with an efficient victory over Laois, and all roads now lead to Innovate Wexford Park on June 10th.
Wexford people sure do love their hurling and their impressive League campaign, allied to the fact that they were three-in-a-row Leinster Under-21 champions from 2013-2015, and have the cream of these crops in their ranks, they have high hopes of skinning the cats for a second time this year.
Will they be Dancing at the Crossroads again?
