Galway GAA unveil new camouflage jersey

Bold move

Ben Kiely

Galway’s new away jersey for the 2018 championship is very different.

Remember Galway’s away jersey in 2017?

It was a classic strip, but often they are the best. Pristine white, which isn’t ideal for a muddy pitch, but it looked fit for the championship come throw-in time.

There was also enough of a link to the home strip in order to make it undeniably Tribesmen attire. The maroon stripes on the shoulders and shorts paid service to original kit.

New Year

The Tribesmen are going to look a little different for the 2018 championship. At least, when they aren’t playing in their all-maroon kit.

The new strip was unveiled through Elvery’s on Friday. It is a navy camouflage shirt with a maroon stripe across the chest. It features white stripes along the shoulders and maroon trim on the collar and sleeves. The shorts are also navy.
