It’s a genuine pleasure flicking through Inpho’s cracking array of photos.
You never know what will pop up from any event but it’s always better when they catch Davy Fitzgerald in good form and being a willing participant.
The sports photography company went above and beyond in their preview coverage of last year;’s Leinster hurling final between Galway and Wexford when they captured the renowned manager in a series of novel poses.
Ahead of the provincial decider, Wexford held a press night and Davy Fitzgerald was a real sport for obliging with the photographers’ requests – presumably they were the photographers’ requests anyway. The end result was photography gold though with one of the most fascinating characters in the GAA pictured in a variety of shots that wouldn’t look out of place on a modelling portfolio.
Davy Fitzgerald has range anyway.
Just be yourself, Davy.
The camera loves you.
That’s his old reliable though.
He soon let loose.
Perfect.
What a pro.
Hold still.
Time for a playful shoot. Get behind the nets, Davy.
Bring out your inner ‘keeper.
There’s more.
He certainly has a lot more versatility than Galway’s Micheál Donoghue anyway, that’s for sure.
But make no mistake about it, photographers can get a lot more artsy.
Pete McGrath is a deep thinker in the fields of Fermanagh.
Conor McAliskey doesn’t realise he’s being upstaged.
Paddy McBrearty just happened to be wearing his full kit on a road trip around Ireland.
Caolan Mooney hanging out.
Just four lads having a laugh, doing what lads do.
Jim Gavin’s next.
