Between David Moyes and Louis van Gaal, United have shown the exit door to some serious talent.
Alex Ferguson left his predecessor(s) with a squad in need of a fine tune but even he could not have predicted the recent exodus of talent.
A little over £300m has been spent by Moyes and van Gaal over the past three seasons with Champions League qualification [last season] all they have to show for it.
Moyes began the clear-out and United’s current coach continued, with gusto.
Some of the decisions were, in our opinion, wise – Rafael, Nani – but United have been rash in disposing of some quality players, and proven winners.
This XI, selected by Fletch & Sav, shows the calibre of player United deemed surplus to requirements.

That is not including the likes of Radamel Falcao and Adnan Januzaj [on loan to Borussia Dortmund].
United could do with a few of these lads to get them out of their current funk.
