Would you go as far as this Irish lad to stop your mate winning Fantasy Premier League?

Desperate times = desperate measures

Patrick McCarry

We’ve all been there – the Fantasy Football season goes tits up, early doors, and all you can do is log-in each week and curse Alexis Sanchez’ hamstring.

Each season brings a whole new heap of FF joys and woes.

Gone are the days when you could stick Cristiano Ronaldo or Eden Hazard down as your captain each week and relax.

Leicester City and West Ham have been the surprise stories and backing the old, familiar horses has not worked.

There are many reasons why fantasy winners have plummeted to mid-table, and basement positions this season. Alan Walsh has stumbled on just about every one of them.

Last season, Alan reigned supreme and – in his own group with mates – got to shove a pie in the face of the poor unfortunate [Lorcan Murphy] that finished rock bottom.

This time out, however, and Alan is struggling.

As the season goes to its final two game-weeks, he looks set to finish far adrift of the leaders. However, he is not taking it lying down.

Convinced that the runaway league leader got away with making too many transfers, the ever-helpful Alan got in touch with Fantasy Premier League support. Unfortunately [for him] he was stone-walled.

It’s amazing what the threat of a pie in the face can do to your mind-set.
