The 323/1 World Cup accumulator to follow on a super Sunday of football

Patrick McCarry

Three nice matches lined up on day four of the World Cup.

We are picking up a nice World Cup 2018 pace now and there are a few intriguing games on Sunday to keep us all ticking over.

  • Serbia vs. Costa Rica (1pm)
  • Germany vs. Mexico (4pm)
  • Brazil vs. Switzerland (7pm)

We kicked off our World Cup betting tips on Friday and almost (almost!) had a 66/1 result. We backed Uruguay to beat Eygpt (tick), Spain and Portugal to draw (tick), and Cristiano Ronaldo to score first (tick). What let us down was an Iran goal scored DEEP into injury time against Morocco that gave them a win. We had called a draw.

So, so, so close.

On day four, we are adding in a fourth bet to make this one an accumulator.

We believe Serbia will edge Costa Rica and we are backing Newcastle forward Aleksandar Mitrović at 10/3 to be first goalscorer. The 23-year-old has 16 goals in 37 international appearances and has arrived at the tournament after a decent loan stint [12 goals in 17 games] that helped Fulham get promoted to the Premier League.

Up next, we move to the Germany game.

Mexico will be well aware of the task facing them, against the reigning world champions. Our pick for this match is the Half-time/Full-time. We’re going for a draw at the break, with Germany winning come full-time. You’ll get that one at 3/1.

Brazil and Switzerland is the evening kick-off and it will be interesting to see if Tite’s men in the blue and yellow can hit the ground running.

Our first of two bets is relatively simple – Brazil to win 2-0 at odds of 11/2.

Finally, we are adding in Philippe Coutinho as an anytime scorer at 15/8.

All told, that is an accumulator that could net you €323 if you pop a solitary euro on it.

Long-shot city but you can pick and choose from that quarter for individual bets if you are not as confident. And, of course, always gamble responsibly.
