Wojciech Szczęsny loses place at Roma after being caught smoking again

Stub it out...

Simon Lloyd

If Wojciech Szczęsny intends to make his loan switch to Roma a permanent one, he’d better buck up his ideas.

Describing his side’s 6-1 Champions League pasting at the hands of Barcelona as “beautiful” will hardly have ingratiated himself  with the Italian side’s supporters but it appears that wasn’t the reason he found himself on the substitutes’ bench over the weekend.

During his time at Arsenal, the Polish goalkeeper was reportedly fined for smoking and warned by Arsene Wenger to stub out his habit.

Reports from Italy are now claiming that after the thrashing in the Nou Camp, Szczęsny was caught smoking again – resulting in him being benched.
