This should go down well with Hammers’ fans.

West Ham United fans didn’t have much to cheer last season. After an exciting final campaign at Upton Park, when the club finished seventh, optimism was high for the 2016/17 season.

West Ham added to their squad and kept hold of playmaker Dimitri Payet. They also moved into their new 60,000 seat stadium in the Olympic Park.

However, things didn’t go to plan.

West Ham struggled in their new stadium, lost Payet to Marseille midway through the season and ended up finishing 11th.

An upturn will be needed next season to arrest their slide, and Slaven Bilic has already started recruiting new players.

Pablo Zabaleta joined the club on a two-year deal, signing on a free transfer from Manchester City.

Joe Hart has also been linked with a move the London Stadium.

Whether the goalkeeper will join the club or not remains to be seen. But it does look as though West Ham’s new home kit has been leaked.

The London club have already confirmed their away strip for the 2017/18 season, but there has been no official word yet on their home kit for the new campaign.

However, photos emerged on social media that appear to show the new jersey on sale.

Here’s last season’s jersey:

And here’s the rumoured jersey for next season.

The design looks very similar to Everton’s new jersey, which is also manufactured by Umbro.
