Manchester United legend Wayne Rooney is preparing for a coaching comeback next month after he mutually parted ways with Plymouth in December.
Having won just five games out of 25, Rooney was shown the door at Championship side Plymouth Argyle and was quickly linked with a move back to Everton.
However, it was proven manager David Moyes who took that job, but Rooney has soon lined up another position, albeit not with a professional outfit.
He'll instead venture back into coaching as a new ambassador for Football Escapes, where he will take charge of a kid's training camp.
Describing themselves as 'The premier blend of holiday delights and footballing highs', Rooney will travel to Dubai's Jumeirah Beach Hotel from February 17th to the 21st for his new gig, according to the Manchester Evening News.
Parents and youngsters alike have been promised : "This is your chance to give your kids the opportunity to train with one of football's greatest icons."
Prices for this experience, according to their website, for a family of four start from £4650 and go up to £8650.
Though Rooney will no doubt be hoping for a return to football management, former Red devils icon Teddy Sheringham has touted him for a different role at his former club.
Sheringham believes Rooney could make a positive impact as a striking coach at Old Trafford, namely on the struggling Rasmus Hojlund.
Sheringham told BoyleSports: "Would Wayne Rooney be a good striking coach? Without a doubt."
Having scored just seven goals in 23 games this season, the former England international believes Rooney could be the key to him unlocking his potential.
Sheringham continued: "I think it is a very important role nowadays. There are set-piece coaches, back four coaches, striker coaches and Wayne's been one of the top players in the country.
"Could he help Rasmus Hojlund? Of course. He's an experienced player that's played for his country a hundred times and scored goals at the top level. So any advice from him you would have to listen to."
