We’re with Thierry on this one.
Gareth Barry is a very good player, who’s had an impressive career. This season could see the Everton midfielder make his 600th English top flight appearance, he’s won the Premier League with Manchester City and captained his country.
However, other than Roberto Martinez, not many would consider the 34 year old “one of the best English players ever.”
The Everton manager made the comment after his side beat Manchester City 2-1 in the League Cup semi-final first leg earlier this month.
Thierry Henry, judging by this look, doesn’t agree.
When Sky Sports presenter Ed Chamberlain referenced Martinez’s comments prior to kick-off between Everton and Swansea earlier today, Henry’s reaction was priceless.
Fortunately for Carragher, Theirry kept his hands to himself this time.
