There’s not too many people on the fence when it comes to Cristiano Ronaldo.
You tend to love him or loath him. But either way it’s impossible not to have respect for his achievements as footballer.
If it wasn’t for Lionel Messi the former Manchester United man would stand head and shoulders above the rest as the defining player of the past decade.
A new documentary released on November 9 shows a whole new side to the Real Madrid man.
Vanity project it may be, but coming from the production team behind Senna and Amy it promises to be way more than just a fluff piece.
And the trailer certainly backs that up.

Interestingly, speaking on Second Captains Spanish football journalist Sid Lowe shed some light into Ronaldo’s infamous celebration after scoring the fourth goal from the penalty spot in Real Madrid’s 4-1 win over Atletico in the 2014 Champions League in Lisbon.
“He scores a penalty and whips off his short in a strongman pose,” says Lowe.
“That moment jarred, and what’s emerged in the last couple of weeks in the build up to this film, is that there may well be a reason why he did that. And thta was because he knew the cameras were on him for this film.
“It wasn’t just that he was celebrating his moment, it was that he wanted to create this image that reinforced this final as his moment on the film that was coming up.”
Regardless, the film still looks well worth a watch.
