He’s done it again.

Roberto Soldado, the striking charlatan.

The Spurs forward was up to his old tricks again tonight with this absolute howler.

Playing away in Fiorentina, the London club needed a goal to make up for their first leg 1-1 draw but, even after the most delicious of passes from Erik Lamela to put two white shirts in on the ‘keeper under no pressure, Mauricio Pochettino paid the price for, you know, playing Roberto Soldado.

And, subsequently, they went and lost the game 2-0.

However, over in Russia, Hulk tried to go one better with this bizarre shot when the ball sat perfectly for him and his lit up as Zenit hosted PSV. His strike was something to behold. But at least they went through.
