Sublime from Neymar.
Brazil became the first side to qualify for the 2018 World Cup last night after a comfortable 3-0 win over Paraguay in São Paulo.
The five-time world champions are coasting through qualifying and currently sit top of their group, nine points ahead of second place Colombia and 11 points ahead of 2014 finalists Argentina.
In the rout, Liverpool’s Phillipe Coutinho opened the scoring and Marcelo hit the net for the third goal but it was Neymar’s strike in between that caught the eye.
Breaking down the left wing the Barcelona star beat two men and proceeded to make a mockery of the Paraguay defence in the penalty area.
The goal, however, was helped in by a deflection from Paraguayan defender Cristian Riveros without which it probably would have drifted harmlessly into the hands of goalkeeper Anthony Silva, still ridiculous from the Brazilian nonetheless.

You can’t please everyone…
GOL DE BRASIL! Neymar doubles the lead with a bit of help from a deflection! 2-0, 64 minutes.

Neymar 2-0. Huge deflection but the run to that goal was wonderful. Surely he's got to be in Balon D'or discussion this year.

A moment of brilliance by Neymar. Lucky deflection but the work before was amazing.

The quest continues.
