Maybe he’s desperately looking for some more game time?
Liverpool have been heavily linked with a summer move for midfielder Piotr Zielinski – to the point that the Polish star has already been asking about Reds boss Jurgen Klopp – but the Empoli man will have one less chance to impress before the end of the season after picking up his fifth booking of the season over the weekend.
Zielinski had just secured the three points against Fiorentina with an 88th-minute goal in Empoli’s 2-0 victory, but when he ran to the bench to celebrate, substitute Assane Diousse pulled his shirt over his head during the celebrations.
Zielinski, on loan at the club from Udinese, frantically tried to get the jersey back over his head, but the ref had no sympathy, showing a yellow card that will rule the Pole out of next week’s game against Lazio.
