The Spanish playmaker set up Chris Smalling with a wonderful, reverse backheel pass, catching out the entire opposition defence.
Let’s just take a moment to appreciate a wonderful piece of skill and vision from the Mata.

Mata had earlier equalised for United from the penalty spot, after Daniel Caligiuri gave Wolfsburg the lead.
