Watch: Italy manager leaves the stadium when Mario Balotelli comes on for AC Milan

See you later Mario

Don’t expect to see Mario Balotelli playing against Ireland in Euro 2016.

The AC Milan ‘striker’, on-loan from Liverpool, has only played once under current Italy manager Antonio Conte since the country’s exit from the 2014 World Cup.

Balotelli posted a message on his Instagram account claiming he was excited for Euro 2016 when the draw was made last month. When this was put to Conte, he replied: “He can’t wait for what? To watch us on TV or to play in the Euros?”

The Italy manager appears to have no patience for Mario’s unique approach to football.

Conte was in attendance at the San Siro last night, watching AC Milan take on Fiorentina. However, the Italy manager left just before the end, or more specifically just as Balotelli was entering the field as a substitute in the 87th minute.

At this stage there’s more chance of Balotelli playing for Liverpool again, than for Italy while Conte’s in-charge.
