This is the best viking clap yet?
Iceland’s squad were given the hero’s welcome they deserved upon returning home from Euro 2016 on Monday.
The smallest nation to have ever qualified for a major international tournament surprised everyone in France, finishing second in Group F, beating the much fancied Austria in dramatic circumstances before humiliating England in Nice in the last-16.
Iceland lost 5-2 to France in the quarter-finals, but did themselves proud at the tournament, and were welcomed home by thousands of supporters in Reykjavik.
The players and supporters, as they did throughout the tournament, joined together for the iconic celebration. Hopefully we’ll be seeing it again at the World Cup in two years time.
