Wayne Rooney has somehow managed to miss an open goal. The Manchester United captain, who scored his first Premier League goal since April last Saturday, missed the chance to equalise against Wolfsburg tonight.
Anthony Martial cut the ball back across the box, finding Rooney in space, who somehow managed to sky the ball over.
Oh dear.
However, United went into half-time level with their German opponents. Juan Mata scored from the penalty spot, cancelling out Daniel Caligiuri opener.
