Not happy… at all.
Napoli’s Italian title challenge suffered an almighty blow earlier today when the Serie A side suffered a 3-1 defeat at Udinese.
The club, who fell six points behind leaders Juventus, were already trailing by two goals when star striker Gonzalo Higuain received a second yellow card for an off-the-ball incident with a defender.
Rather than living to fight another day, however, the clearly frustrated Argentina striker lost the plot completely, first laying his hands on the referee, then pushing and shoving players from both teams before finally being escorted from the field into the comforting embrace of former Liverpool keeper Pepe Reina.
That one-game suspension is sure to be extended following Higuain’s rage, further denting Napoli’s now slim title hopes.
