WATCH: David De Gea reveals his favourite save as Manchester United goalkeeper

Decent stop, that

How crazy is it that David De Gea is still only 25?

The Manchester United goalkeeper has matured into one of the top shot-stoppers in world football and he’s got a wealth of experience between the sticks.

After a shaky start to life at Old Trafford, the Spaniard has become the most reliable player for the Red Devils and comes up with point-saving heroics on a seemingly weekly basis.

It was always going to be difficult for De Gea to single out one particular save in his career of ridiculous stops but he’s managed it.

Speaking to ManUtd.com, De Gea has revealed that this save is his favourite of all time.

“The one from Juan [Mata] against Chelsea – the save from the free-kick [in February 2012].”

The save happened when United had rallied from being 3-0 down at Stamford Bridge to tie the game up when Mata, now a club teammate of De Gea’s, looked to have placed a free kick right into the top corner but the Spanish international leapt catlike through the air and denied him.

It’s not too shabby at all.
