Dejan Lovren always was one to dive-in.
The Liverpool defender had a nightmare performance against West Ham in the reverse fixture between the pair, when he was culpable for at least one of the three Hammers’ goals in a 3-0 rout.
Lovren was guilty of a schoolboy error before today’s game between the pair even began, falling victim to a textbook prank as the cheeky West Ham mascot offered to shake his hand, only to pull it away at the last second.

Lovren’s previously patchy form has improved recently, but since falling victim to this prank, he’s been part of a Liverpool defence that conceded a sloppy goal to the Hammers.
Has this prank shattered his confidence and made him question his ability?
Probably not.
