Football can be cruel , and there’s no hiding place for Brendan Rodgers at the moment.
The Liverpool manager is under pressure following a stuttering start to the season, and, with Jurgen Klopp looming in the background, disgruntled fans in Anfield and on social media, Rodgers desperately needs his side to put some results together.
However, they were being held 1-1 at Anfield by League Two Carlisle United, and the away fans took great pleasure in Rodgers’ misery.
