WATCH: Barcelona are officially too good at football

Not even fair

Darragh Murphy

Real Madrid were awful in El Clasico but we don’t reckon that there are many teams capable of stopping Barcelona right now.

Luis Enrique’s side backed up their 4-0 victory over Real Madrid last weekend with a 6-1 rout of Roma midweek and their progress shows no signs of slowing.

Real Sociedad’s players won’t have gotten a wink of sleep on Friday night as they came to terms with the prospect of facing a recovered Lionel Messi, a clinical Luis Suarez and a genius Neymar.

It was that genius who opened the scoring at the Camp Nou on Saturday afternoon as Dani Alves enjoyed the time of his life on the left side of the field. Alves crossed the ball into Neymar and it was a fairly routine finish peppered with Brazilian flair.

The second goal was much more magical as Alves again found space to deliver a ball into the box, after being found by a wandlike pass from Andres Iniesta to the feet of his full back.

Alves’ cross landed on the perfectly timed right foot of Luis Suarez who made no mistake in guiding his volley home when most strikers would have leant back and blazed over.

And Neymar put the game beyond Sociedad as he got the final touch in a wondrous first time passing move that made the game 3-0.

And no Barcelona demolition would be complete without Lionel Messi getting in on the act.
