Alexis Sanchez is a class act.
If anyone needed reminding of this point, look no further than his contribution to Arsenal’s 2-1 win at Middlesbrough on Monday night.
Not only did he give his team the lead from a free-kick, his ball into Aaron Ramsey made the Welshman’s task of setting up Mesut Özil’s winner a simple one. With many Arsenal fan still calling for Arsene Wenger’s departure at the end of the season, what might happen if their star man were to leave doesn’t even bear thinking about.
After the game at the Riverside, he also showed his class in a different way. With Arsenal’s players walking over to applaud the away supporters after the game (who appeared much happier with them than they did at Selhurst Park last week), Sanchez removed his shirt and made a beeline for a young supporter in the front row, gifting him his shirt as a souvenir.
As you might expect, the youngster was absolutely delighted…
This young Gunner will probably never forget the late Easter present he's just been given…
Class from you, @Alexis_Sanchez 👏 pic.twitter.com/0VWhluIUVS
