Tottenham Hotspur hammered Chelsea 5-3 in an incredible game of basketball football.
Jose Mourinho’s side are neck and neck with Manchester City at the top of the Premier League after one of the most incident filled games so far this season. Diego Costa broke the deadlock in the 19th minute, tapping in from a yard out to give Chelsea the lead.
Spurs struck back through Harry Kane after 30 minutes. The in-form forward brushed past Oscar before driving home a finish from outside the Chelsea box.
Spurs then went in front just before half time, Danny Rose finishing after Christian Eriksen had hit the post. Jose Mourinho's evening got worse as the home side were awarded a penalty after Gary Cahill fouled Harry Kane. Andros Towsend (remember him?) tucked the spot-kick away to give his side a 3-1 lead at half-time.
Kane got his second in the 53rd minute, finishing through Branislav Ivanovic's legs and past Thaibaut Courtois to make it 4-1.
Eden Hazard pulled a goal back for Chelsea after some great build-up play. The Belgium played a neat one two with Cesc Fabregas before hammering the ball home with his left foot. Spurs then and made it 5-2 in the 78th minute, only the second time in Mourinho's managerial career his side have conceded five goals in a game, as Nacer Chadli's ricocheted into Chelsea's net.
John Terry reduced the deficit with a tap-in at the back post but Spurs hung on for a famous win.
