We expected fireworks when Roy Keane was placed in the BBC studios alongside Alan Shearer and Ian Wright.
But we got a fairly subdued Keano for the majority of the half-time chatter for Manchester United’s FA Cup tie with Arsenal.
That was until the Corkman’s sense of humour came out after the production crew played a clip of the famous FA semi-final replay in 1999 between the two sides.
Roy Keane received a second yellow card that day when he hacked down Marc Overmars in what was a famous foul.
But he wryly claimed that the Dutchman dived after he saw the footage again this evening.
He’s not a man whose views can be changed too readily.
Nobody in the studio seemed too keen on arguing with him.
