Fierce.
Anyone who thinks women are the fairer sex better wise up after an incident in last night’s Women’s World cup game between Nigeria and Australia.
The game ended 2-0 to the Antipodeans, but the result is not what anyone is talking about today.
The major incident in the game was a shocking elbow to the face of Samatha Kerr by Nigeria’s Cecilia Njoku.
The Australian women’s side are known as the Matildas but the elbow to Kerr’s jaw was more of a tango than a waltz.
Disgraceful from Cecilia Nku for that dirty elbow on Samantha Kerr #FIFAWWC pic.twitter.com/Zp9UGlYMQi

There was a fear that Kerr may have broken her jaw in the incident at the end of the game, but later tweeted that she was fine.
Thank you to everyone for the messages, I am OK 🙂 very happy with the 3 points . #2chinz #GoMatildas

The incident was totally missed by officials but there is speculation today that Njoku could face retrospective action for the vicious elbow.
