Some Real Madrid fans continue to give the club’s record signing stick.
Gareth Bale got an earful a few weeks ago from the Bernabeu crowd after he committed the mortal sin of not passing the ball to Cristiano Ronaldo. A crime lesser punishable by transfer for lesser men.
Bale has tried brush off the jeers of the Madrid faithful and staked his claim to be the team’s talisman in the absence of the suspended Ronaldo. The Welsh forward provided a fantastic assist yesterday for Karim Benzema in Real Madrid’s 4-1 win over David Moyes’ Real Sociedad, but still received whistles from fans in the Bernabeu.
Benzema squared the ball across the box, past the onrushing goalkeeper. Bale ran on to pass, taking it from the toe of James Rodriguez but then missed the open goal. Madrid fans then began whistling at the player.
Some fans are just never happy, but Bale probably should’ve just left the ball for James.
