The Leicester boss is reported to be set to apologise for the outburst.
Leicester City boss Nigel Pearson is under a lot of pressure. Winless since that rather nuts 5-3 win over Manchester United in mid-September, Pearson has shot to the top of the odds in the managerial sack race and when one fan shouted some unpleasant abuse at him during Tuesday’s 3-1 defeat to Liverpool, Pearson’s reported response was ‘f*** off and die’.
The club launched an investigation and now fan footage of the incident has emerged, which appears to confirm that a fan did shout something unpleasant at Pearson and the manager did indeed reply.
After the game Pearson said “I had a spat with a fan towards the end. I don’t know what they are looking at at times. If they cannot see the players are having a proper go maybe they need to stay at home.”
