Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s acrobatic debut strike in Manchester United’s pre-season friendly with Galatasaray will garner plenty of headlines, but we shouldn’t forget about another striker at the club who is showing no signs of forfeiting his place on the team-sheet.
Marcus Rashford enjoyed an astronomical rise in the latter stages of last season, but Ibrahimovic’s arrival at Old Trafford, coupled with his unwillingness to play a bit-part role at the club, left many wondering how much the 18-year-old England international would feature in Jose Mourinho’s new-look side.
But yet again Rashford was the game-changer for United. Brought on after the interval with the English club trailing 2-1, he was involved in the lead-up to Wayne Rooney’s equaliser, and minutes later went on a blistering run into the opposition penalty area, skipping past one defender before drawing the keeper out for a foul.
Skipper Rooney stepped up and comfortably slotted home the penalty, putting the Red Devils 3-2 ahead.
Rashford’s attacking intent didn’t go unnoticed by one Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who could only raises his eyebrows in admiration from the sidelines.

With Rooney, Ibrahimovic, Rashford and Anthony Martial, Jose Mourinho has an incredible range of attacking option at his disposal. Old Trafford is certainly going to be entertaining.
