We’ve all been there.
You stretch your arm out for a handshake, the would-be recipient doesn’t see your lonesome palm and you die a little bit inside as you sweep your cumbersome hand to scratch your chin, check your watch or inexplicably make a thumbs-up as if a handshake was the furthest thing from your mind.
But Louis van Gaal doesn’t suffer from such social awkwardness as he will make bloody sure that you know he is waiting to shake your hand.
The Manchester United manager wouldn’t endure the faux-pas for even a second as he slapped a distracted MUTV presenter to let him know “you’d better shake my f**king hand sharpish.”
We’d be quite happy to be half as socially ballsy as the Dutchman.
