Painful? Definitely.
Intentional? We’re not so sure.
West Ham Ladies player Whitney Locke will almost certainly have gone to bed with a headache after toughing out a 1-0 victory over London rivals Tottenham Hotspur ladies on Tuesday night.
After falling to the ground in a battle for the ball, Locke was trod upon by opponent Alex Keown.
It’s difficult to tell whether it was intentional or not but one would have to give her the benefit of the doubt considering Keown barely looked down and it happened so quickly.
Take a look for yourself.
Getting my head stamped on during the game lol!! But we won !! COYI https://t.co/LktSlnTxGI via @youtube

Many believed it was done on purpose but, in the interest of fairness, it should be pointed out that the majority of the responses came from West Ham fans.
@Wiigz @westhamladies is she on a wind up? Never seen a more blatant stamp? ? pic.twitter.com/EqKzBcY4eC
