This journo is prepared to ask the hard hitting questions no-one else will.
Jose Mourinho’s press conference after yesterday’s League Cup final seemed like a lively affair. The Chelsea boss was in good form after winning his first trophy in almost three years, a bit more relaxed than his recent appearance on Goals on Sunday anyway.
After being quizzed on the 2-0 win over Spurs, one journalist asked Mourinho who was speaking to on the phone just after the full-time whistle.
The Chelsea boss said it was his wife, that although their son and daughter attended the Wembley final, she did not and didn’t know the score of the game.
‘So you’re just ringing to tell her you won?’ the journalist then asks, Mourinho replies in the affirmative and the journalist comes back with probably the cheekiest question Jose is likely to be asked this season.
‘So it’s going to be a good night tonight then?’, implying, well…
Jose joins in with the laughter in the press room, replying ‘We have to train tomorrow’, and handling a very personal question in good spirit.
Hat-tip 101 Great Goals.
