It’s hard not to like Stephen Hunt.
He’s one of the most engaging footballers there is, and his commitment to his profession is evident every time he steps on the pitch.
On top of that his weekly column in the Sunday Independent is essential reading for anyone looking for real insight into what life is like as a professional footballer.
The fixture list for the 2015-16 season was released on Wednesday morning and it’s safe to say it wasn’t of huge interest to Hunty.
The winger has yet to discover if his contract will be renewed at Ipswich after they missed out on promotion to the Premier League via the play-offs. If they don’t renew the 33-year-old will be on the hunt (pun intended) for a new club.
So when then fixtures were announced Hunty was hard at work readying himself for whatever the new season holds, whichever club he ends up at.
“U can stick your fixtures,”he initially tweeted, but that was swiftly replaced by the slightly tamer version below.
