Usually rational Jose Mourinho brands Chelsea’s 3-0 defeat to Man City a “fake” result

Oh, Jose

Jose Mourinho’s post-match comments have reached unmissable levels.

After last week’s bashing of his medical staff, The Special One is now dismissing the Blues’ loss to Man City as a “fake” result.

The Premier League champions were beaten 3-0 on Sunday afternoon with Sergio Aguero, Vincent Kompany and Fernandinho beating Asmir Begovic.

But Mourinho is not happy with the 3-0 defeat and is claiming that the scoreline in no way reflected the game.

“The best team in the first half won the game,” he told Sky Sports.

“The best team in the second half was Chelsea for sure. We had a difficult first half, we didn’t create a lot and our goalkeeper made a few important saves.

“Second half everything was different. If the 1-0 was a doubtful result at minute 70, 3-0 is completely fake. At 1-0 Chelsea were the best team for the whole second half.”

Chelsea’s shakiness was highlighted by the fact that Mourinho saw fit to replace stalwart John Terry, who played every minute of last season, at half-time so as to deal with the pace of Aguero.

“We were defensively poor in the first half. But the point was not to take John out, but to put Zouma in. I want to have my fastest player on the pitch and not on the bench.

“I know they are going to play counter attack and long balls to [Sergio] Aguero, so I want my team to be dominant.

“It was clear for me Zouma has to play, then I have to bring one out and I brought my captain. He was on my bench and still the captain, because the armband is just the armband.”

All is not well in Chelsea.
