Jamie Carragher is excellent at a lot of things but disguising his true feelings isn’t one.
The Liverpool legend was clearly displeased by Liverpool’s showing against Aston Villa in the FA Cup semi-final this afternoon and pointed to a lack of character from certain members of the Reds side.
While the Sky Sports pundit didn’t drop Raheem Sterling’s name in the tweet, the fact that he raised the point of wage demands would suggest that the 20-year-old was the man in Carragher’s mind when he posted this.
The former centre-back also criticised the recruitment system in place at Anfield that leaves Liverpool with one of the smaller squads of the sides challenging for the top four.
Big games need big players to do big things. Not many of them at Lfc which make wages demands of some ridiculous & the recruitment worse.
