Transfers: Marc Wilson has a new club, Liverpool linked with loan move for Real Madrid attacker

Republic of Ireland defender Marc Wilson is getting a good move to a good club to work under a good manager.

The Aghagallon native hasn’t made a secret of his frustrations at Stoke and a departure from the Britannia seems imminent.

He took for Twitter last week to air his frustrations.

Not everyone was happy about his comments but the player wasn’t too concerned, retweeting those replies.

“It’s fair to say that Marc feels his future lies elsewhere. It’s fair to say I probably agree with him,” was Mark Hughes’ response.

So, step forward Eddie Howe.

Marc Wilson looks set to bag himself a move to Bournemouth with the Premier League club ready to rescue the 28-year-old from his Stoke nightmare. The Irish international had a loan spell with the south coast outfit as a teenager and is said to have sealed a move that could cost as much as £4m to end his six-year association at the Britannia Stadium.

Liverpool are being linked heavily with Real Madrid teenager Martin Odegaard. Zinedine Zidane apparently wants to send the 17-year-old on loan and the Norwegian wonderkid has already trained at Melwood with the club and could fit into Jurgen Klopp’s exciting revolution, for a season at least. Still no sign of a left back though. (Liverpool Echo)

Chelsea have obviously looked on at Manchester United’s example of spending a fortune on a player they already had so they’re looking to do the same by splashing £75m on Romelu Lukaku. (Express)

Galatasaray meanwhile are mad after Marouane Fellaini. Get this, they’ve given up on Lucas Leiva so they’re settling for United’s midfielder – what a kick in the teeth for the Belgian. Reports in Turkey are claiming that the club are close to bringing Fellaini on board but it seems like bullshit considering he’s started both the Community Shield and the first game of the Premier League.
