It might look to be a long way to Madrid from the Old Trafford stands.

But David de Gea reportedly hasn’t given up hope of a move to Real Madrid, despite no progress being made after a summer long transfer saga, and just four days remaining in the current window.

According to The Mirror, Manchester United are looking for a fee in the region of £33 million, while Real consider United’s valuation unrealistic, as the player has less than a year remaining on his contract.

So why exactly is De Gea “increasingly confident” of securing a transfer to the La Liga side?

The goalkeeper has reportedly been assured by his agent Jorge Mendes that a deal can be brokered before the deadline, and that he can convince both clubs to accept a fee closer to £30 million.

One thing’s for certain, this time next week this transfer saga will be over.MANCHESTER, ENGLAND - AUGUST 08: David De Gea of Manchester United is seen on the stand during the Barclays Premier League match between Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur at Old Trafford on August 8, 2015 in Manchester, England. However, unlike Mario Balotelli, Lazar Markovic still has a future had the club.

The Guardian are reporting that the Serbian winger, signed from Benfica for £20 million last year, will spent this season at Fenerbahce. in a move designed to get the player first-team football.

Brendan Rodgers reportedly still sees a future for the player at Anfield, despite a difficult first season for the 21 year old. Markovic made just 11 Premier League starts last season, and hasn’t featured in any of Liverpool’s matchday squads this season.SIGNINGS: The pressure was on Brendan Rodgers to deliver both depth and first-team talent to the squad. Alberto Moreno and Emre Can look like decent buys, but the biggest money went on defender Dejan Lovren and winger Lazar Markovic, with both looking somewhat out of their depth. And the less said about Balotelli the better.Fabio Borini could follow Markovic out the Anfield exit door. Sky Italy have reported that Watford are hopeful of signing the Italian, who was Rodgers’ first Liverpool signing, but has been completely frozen out of the first team.

Sunderland and Inter Milan have also been linked with a move for the 24 year old.Real Madrid CF v Liverpool FC - UEFA Champions LeagueFinally, Chelsea are reportedly on the verge of signing “The Chinese Sergio Ramos”. Zhang Linpeng plays for Chinese side Guangzhou Evergrande, and is a right-back.

Acccording to ESPNFC, “Zhangmos” will sign before the transfer deadline, but will be sent out on-loan by the Premier League champions.

“I’ve worked hard and waited these five-six years for my dream of playing overseas, and finally have recognition from the English Premier League,” Zhang said.

“I’m very happy and very excited to finally have this formal invitation.”2079849_full-lnd
