Spurs’ plan for Troy Parrott next season has been revealed.

Tottenham Hotspur have already made a decision on the future of Troy Parrott after a successful loan spell last season in League One with MK Dons.

The Athletic reported that Spurs have decided to loan out the Republic of Ireland attacker for next season, with a Championship move most likely.

The report claimed the North London club have triggered an extension in his contract until the summer of 2024.

Parrott’s form last season.

Parrott enjoyed a successful campaign out on loan last season. The Dubliner was a mainstay in MK Dons’ side as he made 47 appearances in all competitions, scoring 10 goals.

On the international front, Parrott scored a brace against Andorra in June 2021. Although, he did not find the net for Stephen Kenny’s side for the rest of the year, which resulted in Parrott being dropped to the bench.

This year, the 21-year-old has managed to convert his club form onto the international stage, where he scored a 97th-minute winner against Lithuania in March at the Aviva Stadium.

Parrott’s potential return to the Championship.

Parrott was last on loan in the Championship in 2020 with Millwall. The Dubliner made 14 appearances but wasn’t able to score before he was recalled by Spurs in January.

However, Parrott is said to have made changes to his living habits including getting more sleep, eating better, working harder in training, and also deciding to not play video games late into the night.

Parrott will be eager to make amends if he returns to the Championship on loan next season.
