Chelsea’s nightmare start to the season continues.
The Premier League champions lost 3-1 to Everton at Goodison Park, their third defeat of the season, and have now made their worst start to a season since 1988.
And as football was only invented by Sky Sports in 1992, we can say this is their worst ever start to a season.
The only thing worse than Chelsea’s performances have been those by Cesc Fabregas. The Spanish midfielder has been awful so far, and continued his terrible form today as Everton’s Ross Barkley gave him an afternoon to forget.

5 – Cesc Fabregas hasn't scored or assisted in his last 5 PL apps; his longest run without a goal involvement in the PL since Mar 2008. Dry.

Meanwhile, this perhaps best sums up how poor Chelsea’s start to the season has been.
16 – Chelsea have now conceded 16 goals in their last 7 PL games, one more than they did in the whole of Mourinho's 1st season (04-05). Open

3 – No team with Chelsea's record after five games of a PL season (W1 D1 L3) has ever finished higher than third. Dethroned.
